Venue: Maldon, Victoria, Australia
Dates: September 23rd ~ 28th, 2011
Friday ~ September 23rd, 2011
Landed at Tullamarine Airport around 6:10 am Melbourne Time.
Other flights were also coming in around the same time, resulting in a big queue at the immigrations and customs check points.
Had to hang around the airport until mid-day as the scheduled welcoming committee will only be there after 12 noon.
Even then we have to wait for the other teams from Japan and Korea who were arriving on later flights.

Two more 80M receivers were constructed and needed to be tested in the field.
Neoh-9M2CLN offered to assist me in the test on a Sunday afternoon.
Location was at the MPPP park near the Penang botanical gardens.
Aim is to find out how far away can the two receivers pick up the 80M beacons.
Also is to find how effective is the front to back ratio.

80 Meters ARDF as a spectator sport
May 11, 2011 on 3:44 pm | In Uncategorized, ARDF Bulletin Year 2011 | No CommentsMay 11, 2011
During the 15th World ARDF Championships 2010 held at Opatija, Croatia; a new ARDF sport was introduced. It was called the “ARDF For The Blind”, however, it did not meant that the hunters were actually blind at all!
The hunters from many participating countries were blind-folded and lead to the starting point. Throughout the contest, the blinded hunters were escorted by two marshals at both sides to ensure that the hunters do not fall down or walk out of the game zone.
